Carbon Credits

Our approved registry operators work with the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) project database. This database uses a custodial system to track Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) from issuance to retirement. Operators obtain unique serial numbers for each VCU, and then perform all operations including issuing, holding, transferring and retiring VCUs. Chirico Group carefully considers each project with regards to environmental impact as well as the impact to the local community. We select projects that represent the best value for our clients with those considerations in mind. Our FSA-approved custodian will use the major registries (Markit, CDC Climat or NYSE Blue) to set up an account in your name.
